The PatBo Spring/Summer 2025 collection made a striking return to New York Fashion Week (NYFW), showcasing a theme of metamorphosis that embodied both elegance and transformation. Creative Director Patricia Bonaldi drew inspiration from the butterfly’s symbolism of evolution, presenting a collection that explored delicate beauty through ethereal silhouettes and luxurious materials.

The runway opened with a show-stopping moment as top model Alessandra Ambrosio graced the stage in a strapless mini dress adorned with a black-and-white butterfly decal and a voluminous white bubble skirt. The look was a nod to the grayscale theme from PatBo’s Fall 2024 collection, setting the tone for the season’s exploration of lightness and transformation.

Bonaldi’s craftsmanship was evident throughout the show. Denim pieces were meticulously embellished with crystals, while other dresses featured intricate layers of thin metal sheets, creating an ASMR-worthy experience as the models moved. Each butterfly motif in the collection was meticulously placed, emphasizing the designer’s commitment to detailed handwork and the tactile experience of the garments.

“The handwork that we do, the beads, is the highlight of the show,” Bonaldi told Fashionista. “It’s not about just selling; it’s about feeling the work and connecting to the brand.” The collection, titled “Ethereal,” showcased a color palette of blush pink, brown, wine, and off-white, with metallic accents and sequins adding a celestial sparkle. Fabrics such as chiffon, taffeta, and embroidered tricoline were used to capture the essence of the butterfly’s delicate movement, blending modernity with traditional elegance.

In addition to the runway show, PatBo announced three exclusive collaborations for Spring/Summer 2025. The brand partnered with Paintbox for custom nail designs reflecting the theme of transformation, available at Paintbox studios and as exclusive press-ons. A collaboration with Nannacay brought vibrant, handmade bags that fuse runway beading with the brand’s mission to empower lives. PatBo also teamed up with Schutz US to create custom shoes featuring fabrics from the collection. These exclusive pieces can be explored at PatBo’s Soho store or purchased online.
