The vibrant and imaginative world of OSGEMEOS is taking over Washington, D.C. For nearly a year —from September 29th, 2024, to August 3rd, 2025—, the renowned Brazilian street artists Gustavo and Otavio Pandolfo—famously known as OSGEMEOS—will showcase their expansive new exhibition, “Endless Story,” at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden. This exhibition marks the duo’s largest display in the United States to date, occupying the entire third floor of the Smithsonian’s premier modern art museum.
Known for their distinctive yellow characters and surreal narratives, OSGEMEOS have captivated audiences worldwide, and “Endless Story” promises to do just that—on an unprecedented scale. The exhibition features nearly 1,000 pieces, ranging from vibrant paintings, sculptures, and large-scale murals to immersive installations that merge light, sound, and video. Visitors will also get a glimpse into the brothers’ creative journey, thanks to photographs and rare archival materials that illustrate the evolution of their artistic style.
Curated by Marina Isgro, the show offers an immersive experience that draws on the artists’ unique aesthetic—an approach blending influences from Brazilian folk art, graffiti, and the 1980s underground hip-hop scene, which played a pivotal role in shaping the Pandolfo brothers’ early years in São Paulo.
A Tribute to Creativity and Innovation
A towering inflatable sculpture of one of their iconic yellow characters welcomes visitors at the entrance, setting the stage for a captivating journey into the OSGEMEOS universe. The brothers have spent the past three years meticulously planning and designing this exhibit, incorporating works like O Altar de Tritrez (2020), a new centerpiece that symbolizes the artists’ philosophy of transformation and rebirth.
In addition to their famous murals and urban interventions, the exhibition also explores new frontiers of storytelling through kinetic sculptures and interactive installations, some of which are on display for the first time. According to OSGEMEOS, the goal is to take audiences on an “endless story” through their memories, dreams, and creative process, making the experience as much about the viewers’ interpretations as it is about the artworks themselves.
An International Spotlight on Brazilian Culture
This exhibition not only celebrates OSGEMEOS’ creative achievements but also shines a spotlight on Brazilian contemporary art on a global stage. Over the years, the brothers have become cultural ambassadors, bringing their uniquely Brazilian blend of color and creativity to over 60 countries, including Sweden, Germany, Portugal, Australia, and Cuba. Their return to the U.S. with “Endless Story” underscores their status as leading figures in the global street art movement.
As the largest single presentation of OSGEMEOS’ works ever mounted in the United States, “Endless Story” is poised to become a milestone in their illustrious career. The show runs until August 3, 2025, giving art lovers plenty of time to immerse themselves in the vivid, fantastical world of these talented twin brothers.
