Legendary Brazilian artist Baby do Brasil, the first female singer to ever lead a Trio Elétrico, returns to the United States this February with her highly anticipated “U.S. Carnaval Tour.” The tour celebrates her groundbreaking legacy while bringing the rhythm, freedom, and vibrant spirit of Bahian Carnaval to international audiences.

In 2026, Baby marks 55 years of an extraordinary career, defined by a historic moment that transformed Brazilian Carnaval. At Salvador’s iconic Castro Alves Square, she became the first artist to introduce a female voice to the Trio Elétrico, performing the anthem of Esporte Clube Bahia. Until then, the format—created by Dodô e Osmar—had been exclusively instrumental. Baby’s performance became a cultural milestone, reshaping the Carnaval of Bahia and opening the stage to women in the world’s largest street celebration.

A true pioneer and electrifying performer, Baby—often referred to as the muse of Novos Baianos—is one of the most influential figures in Brazilian popular culture. Her career spans generations and musical movements, blending originality, bold expression, and an unmistakable stage presence. A celebrated composer and interpreter of countless hits, she has sold millions of records and remains one of Brazil’s most iconic voices.

Following a successful U.S. season with her band and a solo feature on Billboard, Baby now returns as a solo artist with a show that marks a powerful new chapter. The “U.S. Carnaval Tour” features classic Carnaval anthems alongside her greatest hits, reimagined in frevo, samba, and groove-driven rhythms—inviting audiences to dance to the sound of her Trio Elétrico.

Musically, Baby do Brasil draws from a rich lineage that includes chorinho (often described as Brazilian jazz), the rock influence of Jimi Hendrix, the bossa nova of João Gilberto, pop music, and traditional samba, including “Brasil Pandeiro,” originally written for Carmen Miranda.

With her iconic blue hair and unmistakable style, Baby will take her electrifying show to New York, Miami, Fort Lauderdale, Houston, San Diego, and Los Angeles, performing frevos by Dodô and Osmar, beloved songs from her career, and Brazilian classics such as “Brasileirinho,” by Waldir Azevedo.

The U.S. Carnaval Tour celebrates Baby do Brasil’s vital role in the history of Bahian Carnaval as cultural heritage, artistic language, and an expression of freedom. On stage, she reaffirms her position as an ambassador of Brazilian Carnaval—connecting past, present, and future through music, joy, and contagious energy.
