Gisele Bündchen made a bold fashion statement at a New York Fashion Week party by embracing a new pants-free trend. The Brazilian supermodel looked effortlessly cool in her casual yet stylish outfit: an oversized denim coat with a thick belt and buttons wrapped around her legs into a makeshift dress. She paired the look with black clog platforms and a black tank top.

Gisele hosted an event held by the denim brand Frame at the trendy restaurant Jean’s in New York City on Sept. 9th. “Denim is great because you can wear it dressy, with heels it makes it cool. I like all kinds of denim: tight and high-waisted or boyish. It kind of works for anything. It’s a key piece in my closet”, she said.

Gisele’s appearance at the Frame dinner comes after a few years away from NYFW — but her history with the major event that comes twice a year goes way back. She made her Fashion Week runway debut in 1996. She’s walked the runway for designers like Alexander McQueen, Christian Dior, Valentino, Marc Jacobs, and many others.
